Privacy policy

This policy explains how information is handled when you use totalcaffeine.com.

Calculator data

The calculator works without an account. Your selected drinks and quantities are held in browser memory to calculate your totals. The calculator does not send those selections to our server or save a personal intake history. Reloading or leaving the calculator clears them.

Website requests

Your browser requests pages, assets and regional drink data from our hosting infrastructure. Those requests necessarily include technical information such as an IP address, requested URL and browser headers. Hosting providers may process request and security logs to deliver and protect the website.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and how people use the website. The Google tag can collect information about pages viewed, browser and device characteristics, and interactions. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits. We do not send your selected drinks or calculated intake totals as custom analytics events.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We may use Google AdSense to display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to sites on the internet.

Users can manage personalised advertising through Google’s Ads Settings.

Cookies and consent

Analytics cookies are declined until you allow them. Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change your choice. We store that choice in your browser for up to 180 days. Google’s consent mode may send measurements without cookies while analytics cookies are declined. These analytics controls do not grant advertising consent; advertising choices are handled separately through the advertising consent provider when configured.

The website loads Google Analytics and Google AdSense tags. Advertising availability depends on Google’s approval and the site’s advertising settings. You can manage Google advertising preferences at My Ad Center and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Browser settings can also restrict or delete cookies. Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
